Sharp Instrument (rough demo)

This is a very rough proof of concept demo I’ve done in a few hours created around my bass lines (which may now need changing a bit) and with me playing guitars in one take. I have full lyrics and chorus adapted from one of my poems. I just need someone with the right voice so I can finish it. It’s got almost classic rock lyrics, would suit a Ronnie James Dio, Ozzy Osborne type voice or just someone with a strong voice and good range to be able to give it what it needs. The chorus is quite catchy.

It might seem a bit repetitive without the lyrics, I did put some down myself, and would love to show you how it goes but they are way too awful to leave on in a public place.

Lyrics

He wields it like a broadsword
and with a pompous pride
Assumes he has a moral right
to have it by his side
He worships all it stands for
a simple devotee
And if it hurts, and causes pain
It’s not his fault
It’s not his fault

Truth can hurt sometimes

It never ever alters
In battle it won’t yield
When using it in his defence
it makes an awesome shield
He even stabs his friends with it
which causes them to flee
But when it wounds and hurts them
It’s not his fault
It’s not his fault

Truth can hurt
Truth can hurt sometimes

At times it hurts us all
but it is always right
It doesn’t weep for casualties
It’s righteous in its fight
He trusts that it will never lie
There’s nothing with more dignity
So when it causes suffering
It’s not his fault
It’s not his fault

Truth can hurt
Truth can hurt sometimes

Middle 8 (possible vocals or even short rap)

Truth can hurt
Truth can hurt sometimes
Truth can hurt
Truth can hurt sometimes

Could your voice suit this track?

Remember this is a rough demo, with all parts including drums to be re-recorded to much higher standard once I have the right singer. Contact me if you have a good rock voice and range and would like to collaborate. Check out more Snowdune songs needing vocalist
