Feel The Love

May 27, 2015 By Andy Trigg 1 Comment

This is my latest synth based tune, it’s quite catchy and hopefully uplifting. It’s only a demo at this stage. As usual I’ve written, played, mixed and produced everything myself. I’ve done the vocals myself but disguised by a Vocoder. Note my vocals are just a rough idea to how the song is sung and would sound substantially better with a proper singer!

Here are my lyrics on the intro –

I’m standing on the dance floor
I’m reaching for the stars
I’m waiting for the big beat
To start the first few bars

I might be high on drinking
I might be too far gone
But here is what I’m thinking
I think I love – everyone

Snowdune – Another World

January 21, 2013 By Andy Trigg Leave a Comment

Rock instrumental. A mini film where you provide the images. An epic musical journey in which the listener can hopefully be the main protagonist battling an alien force and flying back to earth to feel to the relief and tranquillity of flying past a beautiful beach on the way home.

All instruments by Snowdune except guitars by Bri Littlehales. Produced by Snowdune / Bri Littlehales. Written by Snowdune, guitar parts developed with Bri Littlehales.

Mankind… is depending on you.

Start Believing (unfinished demo)

December 28, 2012 By Andy Trigg Leave a Comment

This is another work in progress. It’s a bit unusual so I don’t quite know what to do with it yet. It’s currently an instrumental featuring an audio clip from an old 50s film but if I can find a singer or rapper to put something on it I can drop the sample if it no longer fits.

It starts off dark and menacing but gets funky and even has a little carnival bit. I need to work on it more but won’t until I get someone to sing or rap on it. It just occasionally has a slightly rushed feel and needs the groove getting back in line but not much.

I’ve got loads of things in this one, synths, funky guitar, xylophone, brass section, wah wah guitar, funky bass, slap bass… I’ve used 5 bass tracks and mixed acoustic drums with all sorts of electronic kits and sounds.

I play everything except the wah wah guitar (Mick Briers) and funky & lead guitar (Bri Littlehales)

I think some rap would really suit this track – any one?

Could you rap to this track?

7 Skies Expanded Snowdune Remix

December 7, 2012 By Andy Trigg Leave a Comment

This is my remix of 7 Skies Expanded for the FXpansion/7 Skies remix competition. I created the remix without hearing the original.

The remit was to create a track using at least 3 of the 7 supplied wavs, and optionally use any of the 7 midi tracks. I decided to use all 14 of the sounds but added around 35 tracks of my own including all the percussion. I also cut up parts of the original tracks, rearranged them and added various effects.

I wrote some lyrics for the middle of the track, which is sung by my cousin Mick Brears. I even managed to put some tubular bells in there. With some help and advice from both Mick & Bri I hope I’ve created a good solid pop dance track.

When I finally listened to the original several months after I was surprised how very different mine is. The original artist (and judges) are trance people so they may genuinely not like my “pop” version which would be understandable.

ChillDance

January 17, 2012 By Andy Trigg Leave a Comment

ChillDance is an instrumental track starting out nice and chilled and moving into funky dance territory with the help of some funky guitar by Bri. It was the track I used to create my Wanna be Known – Snowdune remix. The opening keyboards where inspired by a chord progression my brother played on piano which I layered up and modified so he can’t recognise it.
