Wasted Time Remix

January 31, 2015 By Andy Trigg Leave a Comment

Wasted Time is a catchy and driving poptastic song written by Danny Lowe, one of Sheffield’s most talented musicians. Danny put a rough version of this song on Youtube with a simple drum machine beat and a big bass guitar part with effects on it. I liked it straight away. Luckily he was happy to send me wavs of the bass and vocal track to play with.

I tried to use the original bassline but with all those effects and distortion on it was just too massive to tame covering every frequency and masking anything else I tried adding. So I decided to split the great bassline up into several layered synths covering different frequencies. I also created full percussion in midi, added various other keyboards, and did a little rearranging adding a few stops and a middle 8 instrumental section. The main guts of the song though remain Danny’s original melodies.

Charity Christmas Song

Don’t Diss Christmas is a fun charity Christmas song to support two UK children’s charities for Christmas 2013 with 100% of all profits going to them.

Written and performed by Snowdune with main lyrics written and sung by Mike O’Brien. More vocal contributions from many of my friends and family. Produced by Snowdune.

Almost every penny contributed is profit for charity because no one involved has taken any money. The only money taken out will be from credit card and sale processing fees. BUY the song (just £1 minimum).

Here We Go Now – Ballroom / Spaghetti Western mix

March 29, 2013 By Andy Trigg 1 Comment

This is a reworking and remix of the quirky OK Cafe track by Mick Briers and me with lots of new bits and a complete remix. We removed all vocals apart from the “Here we go now” sections and created an almost “ballroom” remix that they could dance to on Strictly Come Dancing.

We thought an instrumental version of OK Cafe could be useful to be used for a voice over, advert or film so embarked on the project but ended up spending adding a lot more tracks. It’s fully orchestrated with a few weird instruments like sitar, and Jew’s Harp. Its got the following flavours mixed in – Ball room, Tango, Reggae, James Last, Ennio Morricone, Austin Powers, Beatles, 60s …

This is the original with lyrics and different instruments, OK Cafe was originally done by Me Mick and Bri Littlehales.

OK Cafe

July 10, 2011 By Andy Trigg 5 Comments

OK Cafe has been played on BBC Radio

This song has been broadcast on BBC Radio This song has a retro feel, it’s quirky and dancy. It makes me want to do silly dances such as in Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me. I can see mini-skirted girls with long sexy boots doing those great 60s dance moves to it.

Originally a Mick Brears composition, produced and played by Snowdune, Mick and Bri Littlehales, it was inspired by an actual cafe in Sheffield (OKeh Cafe) frequented by Mods.

OK Cafe has now been played twice on BBC Radio Sheffield evening show which features, “the best unsigned bands”. First time they opened up the show with it and second time they opened up the second half of the show with it.

OK Cafe has also been listed on the Getty Images music library for potential licencing in films or ads

Bouncy Bouncy

October 17, 2010 By Andy Trigg 3 Comments

This track is aptly named. You know it isn’t going to be serious but hopefully have expectations of something bouncy and happy. It reminds me of the computer game tunes of the 80s, the type of tune that often accompanied platform games which could stand repeating over and over again. It might fit into a platform or side scrolling computer game or even a quirky advert.
